Glass Fusion - Garden Stakes Workshop

Grade 9 - Adult
A two-hour glass fusion workshop making decorative glass stakes to liven up your potted plants. Each student will create their own designs and make up to five garden stakes. All materials are included and fired projects will be available two weeks after class.

Jewelry Art for Beginners

This class will show students how to make a sculptural work of art out of jewelry. Students can bring their own jewelry or use the pieces that will be provided. Students will have three patterns to choose from to make their special work of art.

Cyanotype Printing Workshop 1

Grades 9 - ADULT
Cyanotype is a photo process developed in the late 1800s. We will be coating paper with a photosensitive solution to make our exposures to the sun. Exploring both regular and the wet processes will give the participants a variety of prints. This class is a wonderful way to understand how photography was originally used in its inception. Beautiful Indigo blue photo prints are the result of this process.

Clay - Garden Art Toad Abodes and Fairy Houses

8th Grade - Adult
In this 3-part class you will create an imaginative dwelling that would make a wonderful hangout for a toad or even some fairies. Projects will be creative using hand building techniques with clay. All materials and firings will be included. Take all three Garden Art classes to create a series of works to display together.

Acoustic Guitar - Private Lessons - MAY - All Ages - 60 Min.

These 60-minute private lessons are for individuals of all skill levels who are looking for an easy-going, fun environment. Students will learn basic terminology and foundational aspects of playing chords and melodies on guitar. Class is less theory and more practical application but can also be adapted to the needs and wants of each student. Students will need to supply their own guitar, strings, and picks.
Four classes, one per week. Sessions will re-start every 4 weeks. You may register for additional sessions at your leisure.
Once you register for the class, you will receive an email or phone call to schedule your day and time for lessons. Four lessons/dates will be scheduled in this series. Celtic/Old-Time Fiddle - Private Lessons - MAY - All Ages - 60 Min.

These 60-minute private lessons are for individuals of any skill level who are looking to learn, build upon, or get reacquainted with the basics of old time, Scottish, or Irish fiddle music. We will also explore more advanced techniques as we work through tunes tailored to everyone’s needs.
Students will need to bring their own fiddle, bow, and rosin. A folder, pencil, and recording device are recommended as well.
Four classes, one per week. Sessions will re-start every 4 weeks. You may register for additional sessions at your leisure.

Students will learn the basics of the dulcimer, as well as more advanced techniques tailored to everyone's needs. The material covered will explore playing melodies and chords, using different tunings, and techniques to further develop playing.
