Clay - Daytime Hand-Building

Adult
Hand-building with pottery is another way of working with clay. The basic techniques are easier to learn and the range of forms you can produce is much broader. If you are interested in clay, but aren’t sure the wheel is for you, consider hand-building and begin creating wonderful functional pieces of artwork on your very first day. This class will give you the opportunity to create unique projects each week. Students will focus on the vocabulary of clay, slab construction, pinch pots, surface texture, clay impression and more. For students who are looking for a place to express their creativity, hand-building may be the experience for you.

Glass Fusion - Sun Catcher Workshop

A two-hour glass fusion workshop making a one of a kind sun catcher with your design on it. Put some sunshine in your window! Each student can make two. All materials are included and fired projects will be available two weeks after class.

Potters Wheel Series - Level 1

This beginning level class is designed for those wishing to develop their own skills on the potter’s wheel. This class is designed to build students’ skills in the foundational elements of clay, glazes, and terminology. Every class will demonstrate a different wheel throwing exercise.
There are only 6 spots in this class to ensure that each student has wheel access. The registration fee covers all materials including clay, glazes, tools, and kiln firing time.

Watercolor with Mixed Media - Intermediate Level - ONLINE CLASS

Grades 9 - Adult
This is a class for students who would like to explore watercolor painting from home. It continues the study of watercolor and gouache techniques introduced in Fall Semester’s Intermediate level online class. Students will also learn how to use additional illustration media such as pastel, watercolor pencils, and pen and ink incorporated with watercolor. The class is open to all students who wish to experience water painting techniques. Zoom instruction includes step-by-step projects designed to guide you through the painting process from start to finish. The course will offer a variety of special techniques and approaches to making paintings of different subjects. Students will work on paintings along with the instructor as she demonstrates the steps. You will also receive emails with detailed information and examples so that you may practice further or complete a piece at home. Each session will also be recorded. Students will receive a supply list after they register.
Cost is $109 plus supplies

Mosaic Pet Portrait

Learn mosaics by creating a family keepsake of your favorite animal or beloved pet. This class will teach you basic mosaic principles along with shading techniques, color enhancement choices, etc., to achieve a unique one of a kind finished mosaic. You will be creating a mosaic of your pet's face. You will need to bring a photo of your pet. This is fun class!

Bullet Journaling Workshop

Join us in creating a customizable planner/journal using this unique way to stay organized. Bullet journaling has gained in popularity due to its fun and creative flexibility. Lots of information and resources will be provided. Bring your own journal or start a new one provided by the class. Great for busy teens or college students.

Zentangle from A to Z
with Kay Grogg

Grades 9 - ADULT
The Zentangle Method of drawing is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. In this course, we will start with the beginning steps and move each week to a more advanced project, building on the previous week's lessons. We will work with a variety of Zentangle supplies throughout this class. The instructor, Kay Grogg, is a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) and will guide the class to greater understanding of this method of drawing and how you can use it in your everyday creative practice.
