Tree of Life - Quilt Workshop
with Kristy Ottinger

Adult
Join Greeneville, TN quilter, Kristy Ottinger, for this 2-Day quilting workshop to make a one-of-kind, Tree of Life, quilted wall hanging. This quilted hanging will be 3-dimensional and will be made using free motion quilting. Free Motion Quilting is machine quilting the quilt top, batting and backing without the aid of the machine's feed-dogs to move the quilt sandwich forward. The size of the stitches are based on the speed of the machine and the quilter's hand movements, not controlled by the machine as in regular machine sewing with the feed-dogs. Students must bring their own supplies. Supply list can be obtained from the McKinney Center.
