Zentangle- Working with Tan Tiles

Grade 9- Adult
Prerequisite: Introduction to Zentangle Method of Drawing
This class will be a continuation of the Zentangle Method of Drawing. Students will explore the tan or Renaissance tiles using black and brown ink; white gel pens, and white charcoal. Please bring your graphite pencil, black pens, etc., from the first class. The additional new materials will be provided with class fee. This class may transition online if the need arises.

Alcohol Ink Art Workshop
with Jess Parks

Grades 9 - Adult
This one-day workshop will demonstrate how to use alcohol ink to produce a stunning 2-D composition. Students will use inks and glass to create an interesting framed piece of art and learn how to use materials and gain confidence with their future art endeavors. Students will have two framed, finished pieces to take home.

Mosaic Pendant Workshop

Grade 9- Adult
This class is for anyone that wants to have fun while creating a keepsake mosaic pendant. Make a pendant for yourself or one to give away. Each student will also have the opportunity to purchase an additional pendant to mosaic if time allows.

Potters Wheel Series Level 2
with Jess Parks

Adults
This intermediate level pottery class is designed to further students’ throwing skills on the potter’s wheel. In this course, students will develop more complex forms and learn new trimming techniques. Each class will have a different demonstration to show unique ways of making functional forms. Must have prior wheel experience.

Acrylic Painting Workshop
with Beverly Thomas Jenkins

Grades 9 - Adult
This workshop is for the person who wants to try painting without having prior knowledge of painting. Students will be creating a beautiful vase of flowers. The style is intuitive, casual, absract The canvas is a 9x12" flat board which will fit a frame of your choice (not included). This is a great workshop to take with family or friends!
You can also reserve a private workshop with a minimum of 6 guests! Please call the McKinney Center to make this reservation.

Fairy Garden Cottages
with Kay Grogg

Grade 9- Adult
Create a magical fairy garden this spring by learning how to make mini houses using flower pots, paint, and natural elements. Each participant will make at least one fairy house and will learn how to decorate other areas of a fairy garden using sticks, pinecones, and found items. This will be a fun and magical class that is sure to please the fairies who visit your garden this spring.

Bird House Decorating and Design
with Jess Parks

Grade 9- Adult
During this one-day workshop, students will explore their creative side by decorating and personalizing their own functional bird house. All students work will be finished with a beautiful glaze and fired to perfection. Fired projects may be picked up two weeks after class.

Crochet - Sculpted Vessels Workshop
with Nancy Bouffard

Ages 6 to Adult
In this three-hour workshop students will learn to increase and decrease single crochet to “sculpt” a functional fiber vessel (basket, bowl or vase). Materials provided and/or bring your own. Some crochet experience is helpful but not necessary. This class will transition to online if the need arises.
