Homeschool Creative Constructions
with Sydney Jackson

Grades 3 - 6
Homeschool Creative Constructions is designed for students who have taken Art Adventures or have the basic art skills needed to create more complex activities and projects. This class will allow young creatives to construct original pieces of art and to learn more about painting, drawing, mixed media, narrative art, and printmaking. Homeschool Creative Constructions students will be introduced to a variety of art materials and learn new artistic techniques while reinforcing the basic elements of art. For example, students will work with scratchboard, learn perspective drawing, try their hand at watercolor and acrylic painting, and learn about master artists. Small class size allows for individual attention in a fun and inviting environment!

Jewelry Art
with Darlene Hatley
Adult
This class will show students how to make a sculptural work of art out of jewelry. Students can bring their own jewelry or use the pieces that will be provided. Students will have three patterns to choose from to make their special work of art.

Art Adventures
with Sydney Jackson
Ages: 5 - 8
Grades K - 2
This class introduces your child to basic art skills and gives them an opportunity to gain experience as young artists. Art Adventures has been designed for 5-8-year-old children to strengthen their knowledge of art and further develop art vocabulary and skills. With activities such as painting, drawing, mixed media, and printmaking, students explore their creativity with exciting and fun projects each semester. Both new and returning students will continue to develop their skills with individualized instruction in a small group setting. Small class size allows for individual attention in a fun and inviting environment!

Dance Discovery - Children's Dance

Ages 6 - 8 (ages are flexible with instructor's permission)
Dance Discovery is an introductory course that provides children with a space to learn confidence through movement. Students will experiment with improvisation, spatial awareness, and basic techniques of ballet and modern dance. This course is designed to help the child explore expression in an organized movement class, equipping them for potential future dance classes.
Students should come to class in a black leotard and black tights. Students will dance barefoot.
4:30 pm - 5:15 pm, Thursdays, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 26, April 2, 9, 16, 30. No class March 19 or April 23.
Modern Dance for Beginners

Ages 9 - 11
Children of this age have better coordination and control of their limbs. Class allows them to develop these skills in a more structured approach; students will begin to master rhythm and across-the-floor exercises.
Students should come to class in a black leotard and black tights. Students will dance barefoot.

Oil Impasto Palette Knife Class

You will learn palette knife techniques using water-based oil paint on a 9"X12" canvas and have fun at the same time. This class is designed to be laid-back and an opportunity to learn something new!

Pottery Mug Class
with Kara Bledsoe
7th Grade - Adult
This class will be all about making functional pottery mugs. We will cover both wheel throwing and hand building techniques to create all the parts needed to create a perfect and user-friendly mug. Matching sets, handle making, decoration, and form. Previous experience with clay will be beneficial but not necessary. All materials will be provided.
