Grades K - 2

This class introduces your child to basic art skills and gives them an opportunity to gain experience as young artists. Art Adventures has been designed for 5 to 8-year-old children to strengthen their knowledge in art and further develop art vocabulary and skills. With activities such as painting, drawing, mixed media, and printmaking, students explore their creativity with exciting and fun projects each semester. Both new and returning students will continue to develop their skills with individualized instruction in a small group setting. Small class size allows for individual attention in a fun and inviting environment!  

4:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Thursdays, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9.

Ages 6 - 8 (ages are flexible with instructor's permission)

Dance Discovery is an introductory course that provides children with a space to learn confidence through movement.  Students will experiment with improvisation, spatial awareness, and basic techniques of ballet and modern dance.  This course is designed to help the child explore expression in an organized movement class, equipping them for potential future dance classes.  

Students should come to class in a black leotard and black tights.  Students will dance barefoot.

4:30 pm - 5:15 pm, Thursdays, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 26, April 2, 9, 16, 30. No class March 19 or April 23.

Ages 9 - 11

Children of this age have better coordination and control of their limbs.  Class allows them to develop these skills in a more structured approach; students will begin to master rhythm and across-the-floor exercises.

Students should come to class in a black leotard and black tights.  Students will dance barefoot.

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, Thursdays, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 26, April 2, 9, 16, 30. No class March 19 or April 23.

Grades 3 - 6

Creative Constructions is designed for students who have taken Art Adventures or have the basic art skills needed to create more complex activities and projects. This class will allow young creatives to construct original pieces of art and to learn more about painting, drawing, mixed media, narrative art, and printmaking. Creative Constructions students will be introduced to a variety of art materials and learn new artistic techniques while reinforcing the basic elements of art. For example, students will work with scratchboards, learn perspective drawing, try their hand at watercolor and acrylic painting, and learn about master artists. Small class size allows for individual attention in a fun and inviting environment!

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursdays, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9.

Adult

You will learn palette knife techniques using water based oil paint on a 9"X12" canvas and have a lot of fun at the same time. This class is designed to be laid-back and an opportunity to learn something new!

10am - Noon, Fridays, February 13, 20, 27.

7th Grade - Adult

This class will be all about making functional pottery mugs. We will cover both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques to create all of the parts needed to create a perfect and user friendly mug. Matching sets, handle making, decoration, and form. Previous experience with clay will be beneficial but not necessary. All materials will be provided. 

10:30am - 1pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, February 19, 24, 26, March 3, 5, 10.

Ages 10 - 15

Advanced Creative Constructions is for any child who wants to learn more complicated art concepts. Most projects will be taught over a two week period. Student must have already taken Creative Constructions once before taking the advanced class. Possible class projects such as: three point perspective, beginner oil painting, shadow and light, figure drawing, and advanced print making.

12:30pm - 1:30pm Thursdays, February 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9.

All Ages

These 60-minute private lessons are for individuals of all skill levels who are looking for an easy-going, fun environment. Students will learn basic terminology and foundational aspects of playing chords and melodies on guitar. Class is less theory and more practical application but can also be adapted to the needs and wants of each student. Students will need to supply their own guitar, strings, and picks.

Four classes, one per week. Sessions will re-start every 4 weeks. You may register for additional sessions at your leisure.

Once you register for the class, you will receive an email or phone call to schedule your day and time for lessons. Four lessons/dates will be scheduled in this series. Lessons will restart each month.  Go ahead and register for future months if you wish. There are no refunds or make-up for missed lessons.
