Clay - Beginning Hand Building, Function and Texture

Hand building with pottery is another way of working with clay. The basic techniques are easier to learn and the range of forms you can produce is much broader. If you are interested in clay, but are not sure the wheel is for you, consider hand building and begin creating wonderful functional pieces of artwork on your very first day. This class will give you the opportunity to create unique projects each week. Students will focus on the vocabulary of clay, slab construction, pinch pots, surface texture, clay impression, and more. For students who are looking for a place to express their creativity, hand building may be the experience for you. Only 10 spots available.

Basic Drawing

In Basic Drawing we will explore the basics that will become the foundation of every drawing you do from then on. You will learn to identify the basic shapes that make up your subject, assign space to those shapes, pick a light source and accurately develop strong values that will bring your drawings to life. From doodles to finished drawings; the journey starts here!

Oil Painting for Beginners

In Oil Painting For Beginners, students will be inspired to continue on their painting journey. Painting mysteries will be unlocked and challenging questions will find answers and tools will be explained. This course will help students learn how to start a painting the right way, how to organize their pallet, how to place their subjects on the canvas and progress to modelling and finally detail work. Students will receive a supply list after they register.
The cost is $315 plus supplies.

Watercolor with Mixed Media - Intermediate Level - ONLINE CLASS

Grades 9 - Adult
This is a class for students who would like to explore watercolor painting from home. Students will also learn how to use additional mixed media such as color inks, watercolor pencils, and other media and techniques incorporated with watercolor. The class is open to all students who wish to experience water painting techniques. Zoom instruction includes step-by-step projects designed to guide you through the painting process from start to finish. The course will offer a variety of special techniques and approaches to making paintings of different subjects. Students will work on paintings along with the instructor as she demonstrates the steps. You will also receive emails with detailed information and examples so that you may practice further or complete a piece at home. Each session will also be recorded. Students will receive a supply list after they register.
The cost is $133 plus supplies.

Gyrokinesis ® - Adult Fitness

Gyrokinesis® is an exercise system that moves the body through all three dimensions. With the use of breath, students build coordination and flexibility to create a global sense of well-being. Movements focus on the plasticity and the support of the spine to help the overall function of the muscles and organs. Gyrokinesis® can be both dynamic and relaxing. Each class of Gyrokinesis® will leave you feeling light and better aligned. Students need to come to class with comfortable clothing and a yoga mat. Gyrokinesis® is performed barefoot or in sock feet.

Homeschool Art Adventures

This class introduces your child to basic art skills and gives them an opportunity to gain experience as young artists. Homeschool Art Adventures has been designed for 5 to 8-year-old children to strengthen their knowledge in art and further develop art vocabulary and skills. With activities such as painting, drawing, mixed media, and printmaking, students explore their creativity with exciting and fun projects each semester. Both new and returning students will continue to work on developing their skills with individualized instruction in a small group setting. Small class size allows for individual attention in a fun and inviting environment!

Homeschool Creative Constructions

Homeschool Creative Constructions is designed for students who have taken Art Adventures or have the basic art skills needed to create more complex activities and projects. This class will allow young creatives to construct original pieces of art and to learn more about painting, drawing, mixed media, narrative art, and printmaking. Homeschool Creative Constructions students will be introduced to a variety of art materials and learn new artistic techniques while reinforcing the basic elements of art. For example, students will work with scratchboard, learn perspective drawing, try their hand at watercolor and acrylic painting, and learn about master artists. Small class size allows for individual attention in a fun and inviting environment!

Jewelry Art

This class will show students how to make a sculptural work of art out of jewelry. Students can bring their own jewelry or use the pieces that will be provided. Students will have three patterns to choose from to make their special work of art.
