4th Grade - Adult
Instructor Carolyn Lowe will be sharing old skills with new friends in this four-hour workshop as well as discussing the history of the foot stool and talking about the materials used for the project. Specifically for beginners, students will learn basic weaving skills such as how to follow a pattern. Students will be using natural and colored reed which will make a lovely traditional pattern. All materials are provided. This foot stool will be a great keepsake or gift. Instructor Carolyn Lowe would like to invite participants to come individually or with a young person (4th - 12th grade) to learn this traditional art form together in hopes of passing on this artform. If coming with another person, you will work on your project together.
