Zentangle Method of Drawing - Introduction

Grade 9- Adult
The Zentangle Method of Art is an easy to learn art form that is FUN and RELAXING! Beautiful images can be created by drawing structured patterns. As you become engrossed in the process, your focus becomes, “Zen” like and relaxed, resulting in individually unique masterpieces. Students must complete this class or have previous Zentangle experience before taking, Working With Tan Tiles." This workshop may transition to online if the need arises.

Garden Mushrooms Decorating and Design

Grade 9- Adult
During this one-day workshop, students will explore their creative side by decorating and personalizing their own clay mushrooms for their garden or home. Students will receive two pre-constructed clay mushrooms that they design and decorate using stamps, stencils, and other tools. All student work will be finished with a beautiful glaze and fired to perfection. Fired projects may be picked up two weeks after class.

Pottery Wheel - Bowls - 2 Day Workshop

Grades 5 -Adult
Enjoy a relaxing two-day workshop creating beautiful bowls! Students will spend the first day on the potter’s wheel creating bowl forms. On day two, students will trim bowls on the wheel and learn decorating techniques. The goal is for each student to accomplish making 3 – 5 ceramic bowls. Masks will be required due to close contact during demonstrations and one-on-one instruction.

Ceramic Tray Decorating

Grade 9- Adult
During this two-hour workshop, students will design and decorate a long serving platter. Explore your creative side by adding handles, surface texture, and personal touches. Each dish will be fired and glazed to enjoy for years to come. Fired projects may be picked up two weeks after class.

Mandala Magic Workshop

9th Grade to Adult
Mandalas are circle drawings that are very relaxing to create. The radial and repetitive nature helps focus the mind, enabling concentration and lets creativity flow. During this workshop, students will learn how to draw a radial mandala. Drawing and coloring their mandala will help with mindfulness & bring a sense of peace & relaxation. Students will work on one mandala with different options for coloring. The final piece will be framed & ready to display.

Glass Fusion - Garden Stakes

Grade 9- Adult
A two-hour glass fusion workshop making decorative glass stakes for your garden or house. Each student can make up to four garden stakes. All materials are included and fired projects will be available two weeks after class.

Zentangle- Working with Tan Tiles

Grade 9- Adult
Prerequisite: Introduction to Zentangle Method of Drawing
This class will be a continuation of the Zentangle Method of Drawing. Students will explore the tan or Renaissance tiles using black and brown ink; white gel pens, and white charcoal. Please bring your graphite pencil, black pens, etc., from the first class. The additional new materials will be provided with class fee. This class may transition online if the need arises.

Alcohol Ink Art Workshop

Grades 9 - Adult
This one-day workshop will demonstrate how to use alcohol ink to produce a stunning 2-D composition. Students will use inks and glass to create an interesting framed piece of art and learn how to use materials and gain confidence with their future art endeavors. Students will have two framed, finished pieces to take home.
