Acoustic Guitar - Private Lessons - OCTOBER - Kids & Teens - 30 minutes

Ages 7 - 17
These 30-minute private lessons are for all levels of skill. Students will learn basic terminology and foundational aspects of playing chords and melodies on the guitar. Class is less theory and more practical application but can also be adapted to the needs and wants of each student. Students will need to supply their own guitar, strings, and picks.
Four classes, one per week. Sessions will re-start every 4 weeks. You may register for additional sessions at your leisure.
Once you register for the class, you will receive an email or phone call to schedule your day and time for lessons. Four lessons/dates will be scheduled in this series. Lessons will restart each month. Go ahead and register for future months if you wish. There are no refunds or make-up for missed lessons.
If you prefer a one-hour lesson, please sign up for that option instead.

These 60-minute private lessons are for individuals of all skill levels who are looking to learn the dulcimer or expand upon what they already know. Students will learn the basics of the dulcimer, as well as more advanced techniques tailored to everyone's needs. The material covered will explore playing melodies and chords, using different tunings, and techniques to further develop playing.
Students will need to supply their own dulcimer, strings, and picks.

Intro. to Soap Making

Adult
A soap melt and pour class is a fun, hands-on workshop that teaches you how to create custom, detergent free, goats milk soap base by melting a pre-made base and adding your own colors, scents, and botanical ingredients. Plus, choosing your own soap mold. It is entirely beginner-friendly, completely bypassing the dangerous handling of raw lye. Each student will complete and take home 6 bars of soap.
Noon - 2:30 pm, Wednesday, September 30.
Weave a Mini Rug

Grades 6 - 8
Explore the basics of fiber arts! Students will learn foundational weaving skills and terminology while creating a mini rug on a cardboard loom.

Watercolor Painting

Grade 9 - Adult
In this course, students will experience the beautiful art of watercolor painting, exploring special techniques, effects, and other materials. Lessons will explore ways to manipulate paint with various brushes and mediums, add surface textures, and mix and apply colors. Instruction will include step-by-step projects of a variety of subjects. This class is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience who wish to build their skills and confidence in painting with watercolor. All supplies will be provided.
5:30 - 7:00 pm, Mondays, October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16, 23.
Clay - Beginning to Intermediate Wheel

This class is for students who have taken the beginning class previously but may not be ready to move on to an intermediate or advanced class. Students will continue their knowledge and skills to create functional and decorative wares from clay. We will do at least five projects and students will have the opportunity to throw on the wheel. Decoration with surface textures, handles, and glazing examples will be discussed. Every class will create different forms, and students will learn how to understand clay's versatility. You will have a chance to throw, trim, and modify a pot. After the fifth meeting, projects will be bisque fired. The last night is left for glazing. If you are interested in taking a clay class and would like to explore your creativity and enhance your skill this class may be for you. Only 6 spots are available. A wheel is available for each student.

Glass Fusion - Picture Frame Workshop

In this glass fusion class, each student can make up to three picture frames. All tools and materials are included and fired projects will be available two weeks after the class.
