This entry level clay class is for the youngest of elementary school age children. Each class will be project-based to introduce young children to different clay working techniques. Children will learn planning and decorating techniques to complete projects.

Mosaics - Glass on Glass
with Beverly Thomas Jenkins
Glass on Glass or "gog," is a unique and different mosaic process. Using a sheet of glass as your foundation enables the mosaic to act like a stained-glass creation, as it lets the light through. A 5"x7" frame with glass will be provided as the substrate and other materials. Creative options and designs will be available.

Holiday Hand-building with Clay

Grade 5 - ADULT
Handbuilding with clay is as versatile as it is fun. Using mainly our hands, we will start off with fun fall-themed projects and work until the Christmas season. Projects will be a mix of decorative and functional items. Expect on having several finished, unique pieces to use at holiday gatherings or to give as gifts.

Glass Fusion - Pendants

Ages 14 - Adult
In this two-hour glass fusion workshop, students will make decorative glass pendants to wear or share. This hands-on session is designed for fun! Students will make up to eight pendants while learning the basics of fused glass. Students will have the chance to use frit, stingers, and dichroic glass to make unique creations! All materials are included and fired projects will be available two weeks after the class.

Shadow Puppet Workshop
with Faith Belt
Grades 9 - 12
Come and explore the world of light and shadow in this one-day workshop! Students will make at least 2 articulated shadow puppets and a screen for their own puppet theatre. No experience required.

Potters Wheel Series Level 2
with Jess Parks
This class is designed for those wishing to develop their own skills on the potter’s wheel. This class is designed to build students’ skills in the foundational elements of clay, glazes, and terminology. Every class will demonstrate a different wheel throwing exercise.
There are only 6 spots in this class to ensure that each student has wheel access. The registration fee covers all materials including clay, glazes, tools, and kiln firing time.

Grades 4 - 12
Prereq: Must have previously taken one or more 6 week metal classes or metals camp with Linore, or show previous knowledge/experience using the tools. This class is for stuents who want to branch out on their own to develop their metals work. We will continue learning more advanced techniques specific to the intererests of the class, and each individual will leave with a body of work unique to them. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with different processes, and willwork especially on problem solving and finding solutions to new shapes and creations. We will also discuss "wearable art" vs "jewelry," and will try out new ways for our artwork to interact with the body.

Metals - Adult Class

Adult 18 +
Students will go over multiple processes including wire wrapping, hammer textures, viking wire weaving, cold connections, and more. This class is for curious adults who want to learn about or develop their jewelry making and metals skillset as we explore the possibilities together!
