Young Potters

Grades 6-8
This is a pottery class for older elementary and middle school age children. In this course, students will create fun, decorative, and functional projects and have the opportunity to explore different techniques for working with clay including the pottery wheel.
9:00 -10:30 am - Saturdays, September 3, 10, 17, 24, October 8, 15 (no class on October 1).
Mixed Media Drawing

Grade 9- Adult
Mixed Media Drawing builds upon a foundation of drawing, while expanding the possibilities with a multitude of mediums. Each week focuses on different materials and techniques. A world of color, texture and composition will be explored, using techniques from printmaking, painting and even textiles! Students are encouraged to explore processes such as collage and abstraction. Art historical movements and themes provide inspiration for student work using both contemporary and traditional art materials. All skill levels are welcome!

Kids N Clay

Grades 3-5
In this course, students will be exposed to a basic introduction to ceramic techniques designed for elementary school aged children. This class will create fun imaginative pieces which will be a mixture of decorative and functional items. This class includes all materials including clay, glazes, and kiln firing time.

Color Mixing Basics for Oil and Acrylic Painters

Adult
Have you been painting for a while and still desire more vibrant color in your paintings? This class is designed to help you learn to see and mix colors more accurately for your individual artwork. In each class we will focus on palette exercises to help you understand the fundamentals of color theory and follow up with a simple still life painting exercise that will apply these principles. Supplies will be provided.

Tap - Level 1

Grade 9- Adult
This beginner’s class will be very energetic and have you happily sweating in no time. Students will learn to perform easy-to-follow tap dance steps and become acquainted with the terminology of tap, which equips students to quickly learn a variety of combinations and routines. Along with these basic steps, students will also learn ear training to improve rhythm and musicality. Students will need to supply their own tap shoes.

Potters Wheel Series - Level 1

Adults
This beginning level class is designed for those wishing to develop their own skills on the potter’s wheel. This class is designed to build students’ skills in the foundational elements of clay, glazes, and terminology. Every class will demonstrate a different wheel throwing exercise.
There are only 6 spots in this class to ensure that each student has wheel access. The registration fee covers all materials including clay, glazes, tools, and kiln firing time.

Dance Discovery - Children's Dance

Ages 6 - 8 (ages are flexible with instructor's permission)
Dance Discovery is an introductory course that provides children with a space to learn confidence through movement. Students will experiment with improvisation, spatial awareness, and basic techniques of ballet and modern dance. This course is designed to help the child explore expression in an organized movement class, equipping them for possible future dance classes.
Students should come to class in a black leotard and black tights. Students will dance barefoot.

Basics of Watercolor - ONLINE CLASS

Adult
This is a class for students who would like to explore watercolor painting from home. It continues the study of watercolor techniques introduced in past online classes, but it is open to all students who wish to experience watercolor painting. Zoom instruction includes step-by-step projects designed to guide you through the painting process from start to finish. The course will offer a variety of special techniques and approaches to making watercolor paintings of different subjects. Students will work on paintings along with the instructor as she demonstrates the steps. You will also receive emails and recordings of each class so that you may practice further or complete a piece at home. Each session will also be recorded. Students will receive a supply list after they register.
Cost is $122 plus supplies.
